Hawaii Health Care Crisis

  HEALTH CARE

Most people will agree that the health care system is in need of an overhaul.  However, most are not in agreement on how to do this.  There are generally 3-options, (1)  More money,  direction, and control, from the federal government; (2) Follow a European style national health care system; Or (3), putting patients and doctors in the driver’s seat and making healthcare providers and insurance companies compete for customers.

Regardless of the option that may or should be followed, health care remains one of the biggest concerns for the people of Hawai‘i today. This is especially true for Baby Boomers, born between 1946-1964, aged 56-74, our growing kūpuna segment. We will advocate that Government work to enhance health care for Hawai‘i. Initiatives here must include improving clinical outcomes, increasing access to services, and providing health care education.
