2026 PRIMARY
ELECTION ENDORSEMENTS
ENDORSEMENT COMMITTEE
The Endorsement Committee (EC) consists of nine members of the Kānaka Movement, from different islands including America who serve as volunteers without compensation. The task of the EC is to identify candidates who are running for political office in Hawaii at the county, state, and federally levels who reflect the values of the Kānaka Movement, to care for the people, land, and culture and have the capacity to improve the Hawaiian condition and better all of Hawai‘i.
As part of the vetting process, the EC will review and consider available public information, answers to questions from other organizations, and talk to community members and leaders. Once the vetting process is concluded, selected candidates are notified of their provisional endorsement. Candidates are then given a limited time to sign and submit the Kānaka Movement Pledge after which time their endorsement will be executed.
Note: Though the Kānaka Movement will share its list of endorsees, with members and the public, we encourage everyone to do their due diligence and ultimately make their own decisions.
