ELECTION ENDORSEMENTS

ENDORSEMENT PROCESS
The Endorsement Committee (EC) consists of nine members of the Kānaka Movement, from across the pae ʻāina (state of Hawai‘i) who serve as volunteers. The task of the EC is to identify candidates who are running for political office in Hawai‘i at the county, state, and federally levels who reflect the values of the Kānaka Movement, to care for the people, land, and culture.

As part of the vetting process, the EC will review and consider available public information, interviews and answers to questions from various organizations, and talk to community members and leaders. Once the EC has concluded their process, endorsees are notified of their endorsement and invited to sign the Kānaka Movement Pledge. 

Note: Though the Kānaka Movement will share its list of endorsements with Kānaka Movement members and the public, we encourage everyone to do their own due diligence and ultimately make their own decisions and to remember, that voting is not only our right, but our kuleana.
