Ua mau ke ea o ka ʻaina i ka pono
The land (and people) will prosper as the people are
righteous

  5th PRINCIPLE: ALOHA KE AKUA

Aloha ke Akua
We recognize and acknowledge ke Akua (the divine). Regardless of creed, all have the privilege to worship, or not, according to the dictates of their own conscience, let them worship how, where and what they may.
The right to worship or not (Freedom of Religion) is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or community, in public or private, to manifest religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship, and observance. It also includes the freedom to change one’s religion or beliefs, “the right not to profess any religion or belief” or “not to practice a religion.”

Freedom of religion is the most basic, important and fundamental human right that we have and must be recognized, respected and protected. Government cannot dictate who, how and where we worship. Likewise, government cannot limit who, how and where we worship. Whether Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Judaism or any other creed, we believe all can be blessed, humbled, and benefited as they embrace their divine, and we welcome all to do so.
